Packaging Design Concepts
These projects represent fictional studio concepts created by our structural packaging architects to illustrate pragmatic approaches to plastic replacement, unboxing choreography, and material recovery.
Project Verdant: Direct-to-Consumer Botanical Subscription Box
The Challenge: A hypothetical high-growth subscription wellness brand was experiencing a 6% bottle breakage rate while shipping organic glass serums, relying heavily on non-recyclable plastic bubble pouches.
Structural Strategy: We engineered a one-piece E-flute corrugated shipper featuring an integrated fold-over cantilever paper spring. Fragile glass droppers are suspended away from box perimeter walls, absorbing courier impacts through engineered paper tension alone.

Project Lumina: Luxury Cosmetic Carton with Molded Tray Insert
The Challenge: High-end cosmetics frequently utilize EVA foam inserts and PVC thermoformed plastic trays to create a luxury weight profile and hold glass compacts in place.
Structural Strategy: We sculpted a two-piece presentation setup box with a thermoformed sugarcane bagasse insert. The ultra-fine fibers provide an ivory velvet tactile feel without synthetic flocking, allowing the consumer to dispose of carton and insert directly into household paper recycling.

Project Harvest: PFAS-Free Quick-Service Food Carrier System
The Challenge: Traditional burger and bowl clamshell packaging relies heavily on fluorinated grease-proofing chemicals (PFAS) and plastic PE liners that render food packaging non-repulpable.
Structural Strategy: Using virgin unbleached kraft board coated with a patented aqueous dispersion layer, we prototyped a leak-proof nested container with locking corner gussets that maintain integrity under hot frying oils up to 100°C.
