Cosmetic Engineering Standards

Eliminating Plastic Film Lamination Without Sacrificing Durability

Traditional cosmetics boxes apply polypropylene (BOPP) thermal plastic film to protect against scuffing and oil fingerprints. While visually slick, this plastic layer prevents cartons from breaking down in municipal paper mills. Tempo Nest Studio utilizes water-dispersed anti-scuff mineral sealers and natural fiber sizing that yield a velvety touch while passing standard hydropulping repulpability tests (PTS Method RH: 021/97).
